This Privacy Policy explains what information Ting collects and how it's used.

1. Information we collect

Account information you give us directly (username, email address, password — stored as a salted hash, never in plain text). Billing information processed by our payment provider, Stripe, when you top up credit — we don't store your card details ourselves. The configuration you set up for each connected channel (e.g. bot tokens, webhook URLs), and the chat messages, attachments, and subscriber details (names, avatars, and platform-provided IDs) exchanged through the channels you connect. Technical logs of API requests to help us debug and secure the Service, with credential-shaped fields (passwords, tokens, secrets) redacted before storage.

2. How we use it

To operate and improve the Service, process payments, send you account and billing-related notifications, and provide support when you ask for it.

3. Who we share it with

Stripe, to process payments. The messaging platforms you configure (LINE, Meta, Discord, Slack, etc.), only for the messages you choose to send or receive through them. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else except as required by law.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in (a session token) and remember your language preference. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after deletion to comply with legal and accounting obligations (e.g. invoice records). Messages and files are kept for 1 year: messages sent through the Service (console chat history and the Ting Notifications in-app inbox) are deleted automatically 1 year after they were sent, and uploaded files (images, video, documents) are deleted automatically 1 year after upload, with a notice to the app owner 7 days beforehand. Keep your own copy of anything you need longer.

6. Your rights

You can review and update most of your account information yourself, or request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data through your account's support channel.

7. Children

The Service isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
